She was a native of Cleveland who had been a resident of Jonesborough for the past 10 years.
She was a member of Piney Flats Baptist Church in Sullivan County.
Her father, Vernon Gates, preceded her in death as well as her grandparents.
Survivors include her husband, David Yarberry of Jonesborough; mother, Wanda Gates of Cleveland; three daughters: Amber Gates, April Yarberry and Chelsey Dunbar; one son, Robert Yarberry; one granddaughter, Jazalynn Gates, all of Jonesborough; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Michael and Sharon Gates of Cleveland and Rick and Michelle Gates of Alvarado, Texas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Mary Yarberry of Union County; brother-in-law, Mark Yarberry of Alvarado; nephew, Jay Gates of Alvarado; three nieces: Rachael Gates of Cleveland and Tia and Megan Gates of Alvarado; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 31, 2010, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Gates officiating.
Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Doug Parris, Jackie Parris, Justin Parris, Larry Visage, Sammy Parris and Richie Burns will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
