Kieley Best, a 20-year-old student from Cleveland, has been selected as a finalist for a national competition in which two people will have the opportunity to try working eight different jobs in eight weeks.

The program is inspired by a project called the “One-Week Job Project.” In 2007, Sean Aiken graduated from college at the top of his class, but still had no idea what he was truly passionate about.

He set out to discover his passion by trying 52 jobs in 52 weeks. His book and documentary detail his adventures and now he is giving regular people the opportunity to try new careers.

There are seven finalists for the program and out of the seven, the two people with the most votes will receive $3,000 each to use for travel and accommodations for the eight weeks.

The program will allow the participants to set up jobs that interest them and they will be blogging on the Web site http://www.oneweekjob.com.

Best is currently in third place and needs more votes to win.
