Nashville recording artist and songwriter Lee Greenwood will be appearing Sunday evening in a special concert to support the Cleveland Professional Firefighters Association.

The concert will be held at the Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga and will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Greenwood is known for his hit songs such as “God Bless the U.S.A.,” “Ring On Her Finger, Time On Her Hands” and many others.

According to Jonathan Carroll, chairman of the CFFA committee, the fundraising concert event will support several educational and safety programs in the southeast Tennessee community.

n Community Relief Fund — assists families in Cleveland who have suffered devastation, are displaced or need immediate assistance due to unexpected emergencies.

n Firefighter Local Scholarship — provides a Fire Science scholarship for students with intentions of pursuing a career in fire service.

n Firefighter Training and Education — ensures firefighters are properly trained and educated on issues that affect their health and safety and ensuring the most effective service to our community is provided.

“CFFA helped get the Coach Robert Maupin Scholarship off the ground by contributing $1,000 to the fund and we also aided at least 10 families this year who were hit by devastating fires. Four of those families were displaced during one fire event,” said Carroll.

Appearing with Greenwood will be the Van Lears.

Tickets to the concert are available by calling CFFA at 553-9760.
