Bill “Chief” Robertson will once again head up this year’s sessions which will be held every Monday in June and July, with the exception of July 6. Boys and girls ages five to 17 are invited to gather at the Fairview Golf & Game Center on North Lee Highway for the weekly sessions which will run from 8 until 10 a.m. each Monday.
“Anyone wanting to register a child can contact the driving range or just show up on Monday and sign up before we get started,” Robertson explained. “We’ll have four or five instructors to work with the kids and help them learn the game or just improve their skills they’ve already been working on.”
The yearly clinics normally draw more than 100 young golfers each summer. “Not all of them will show up each week but we usually have a pretty good number somewhere between 100-150,” Robertson added.
