Brooke Fairbanks was promoted to branch operations officer. Sharon Welch was named teller operations officer.
The promotions were announced at the annual shareholders meeting held on May 20.
Lee Stewart, president and chief executive officer, said, “These ladies truly demonstrate our Expect A Difference attitude. They fulfill our mission statement daily by their dedication, their Christian values and their abilities. We are proud to have women of this caliber in bank officer positions.”
Fairbanks will assume the branch manager position at the Georgetown office which fills the vacancy created by Paula Moore’s decision to take an early retirement.
Fairbanks joined Southern Heritage in July 2007 as the on-call floater and became trainer in July 2008. She is married to Shawn Fairbanks who is a paramedic with Bradley County EMS.
They have two children, Katie and Ross, and attend Mount Olive Church of God.
Welch was promoted to head teller at the main office on Keith Street following Karen Crittenden’s move to head teller at Waterville Springs.
Crittenden follows Joyce Tinsley who now moves to the main office as compliance assistant.
Welch joined Southern Heritage Bank in July 2001 as a flex teller. She is married to Timothy Welch. They have two daughters, Christina and Carla, and attend North Cleveland Church of God.
