She retired from Sanda Hosiery Mills after 30 years of service. She enjoyed camping and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Hattie McAlister Burris; brothers: Jack Burris and George Burris; and sisters: Dorothy Burris and Louise Thomas.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Robert Gray; sister-in-law, Barbara Burris, both of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2010, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Davis officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
