Dennison — Samuelson

Welcome Valley Village was the setting for the afternoon wedding of Kayla Samuelson and Christopher Dennison, both of Cleveland, on May 22, 2010.

The bride is the daughter of Balmatee Samuelson of Cleveland and George Samuelson of Texas. She is the granddaughter of Frances Geyer of Arkansas. She is the sister of Trang Brown of Arkansas, Joshua Samuelson of Tennessee and James Mansingh and Vijay Basdeo, both of Georgia.

The bridegroom is the son of Richard and Susan Cenkus of Clyde, Ohio, and Jeff and Vickie Dennison of Cleveland. He is the grandson of Gene and Alma Paul of Clyde and the late Clifford and Jeanette Dennison.

The wedding ceremony was officiated by Larry Cockerham, pastor of Living Word Church, where the two are both members. Nuptial music was provided by CSO String Trio.

Given in marriage by her mother, the bride had Janessa Plett of Manitoba, Canada, as her honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Devin Donahue of Kentucky, Lindsay Madison of Cleveland and her sister, Trang Brown.

Liliana and Lyric Marler of Cleveland were flower girls and Luke Cenkus of Ohio, the bridegroom’s brother, was ring bearer.

Ross Vance of Cleveland served the bridegroom as best man. Groomsmen were Bill Brooks of Cleveland, Brett Gallaher of Georgia and the bridegroom’s brother Trevor Dennison of Cleveland.

Mr. Dennison is a graduate of Lee University. Mrs. Dennison is employed by Skyangel.

Stewart — Gilbert

Sarah Gilbert of Cleveland became the bride of Brian Stewart of Atlanta in an evening ceremony on March 6, 2010, at Westmore Church of God.

The bride is the daughter of Dan and Betsy Gilbert of Cleveland. She is the granddaughter of Earl and Betty Whatley and the late Edward and Blanche Gilbert.

The bridegroom is the son of Craig and Terrie Stewart of Atlanta. He is the grandson of Charlotte Hammock, the later James Hammock and Raymond and Vera Stewart.

The wedding was officiated by Dr. David Bishop and the Rev. Dale Stephens, cousin of the bride. Nuptial music was provided by Emmanual Nunez, soloist.

Given by her father in marriage, the bride was attended by her sister, Leah Gilbert, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Corley, Alison Eskew, Jessica Hale, Katie Millman and Allison Stewart, sister of the bridegroom.

The father of the bridegroom served as his best man. Groomsmen were Adam Gilbert, brother of the bride, and Ben Heruska, Brian McGuire, Brian Musheno and A.J. Varatharaj.

Meredith Marks, the bride’s cousin, served as flower girl. Harris Garmon and Wilson Garmon, cousins of the bridegroom, were ring bearers.

Katie Dunn and Lindsay Graab attended the bride’s book.

The bride’s parents held a reception at the Historic Fillauer Lake House Barn.

After a wedding trip to Curacao Island in the Caribbean, the couple resides in Colorado Springs, Colo., where they both serve as officers in the U.S. Air Force.

Symonds — Hobbs

Donna G. Shahan Hobbs of Cleveland became the bride of Robert W. Symonds Jr. of Chattanooga in a noon ceremony on April 10, 2010, at Sandals Resort in Negril, Jamaica.

The bride is the daughter of Don Sr. and Irene Shahan of Charleston. She is the granddaughter of Edna Clayton of McDonald and Ruth Shahan of Cleveland. She is the sister of Leon Shahan of Cleveland.

The bridegroom is the son of Barbara Chambers of Bristol, Va., and Robert W. Symonds of Piney Flats. He is the grandson of the late Robert and Hope Hutchens and the late Donald and Victorene Symonds. He is the brother of Theresa Symonds of Tilford.

The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Richard Ramsay. The bride’s daughter, Brittany Hobbs of Chattanooga, was maid of honor. Rita McCay was bridal attendant.

After their wedding trip to Jamaica, Mr. and Mrs. Symonds were feted at a reception held April 24 at Hixson United Methodist Church, where they are both members.

Mrs. Symonds is a graduate of Cleveland High School and Cleveland State Community College. She is employed by Sun Trust Bank. Mr. Symonds is a graduate of John S. Battle High School and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He is employed by Hilton Hotels.

Stout — Blackmon

Richard and Rosemarie Stout of Cleveland announce the engagement of their daughter, Meghan Danielle, to Bryant Charles Blackmon, the son of Charles and Cindy Blackmon of Cleveland.

The couple will wed in a 7 p.m. ceremony on July 23 at the Grandview.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Al and Etta Mae Noel of Charleston, Hazel Stout of Cleveland and the late W.L. “Jack” Stout Jr. She is the sister of Ashley Stout of Cleveland.

Miss Stout is a graduate of Bradley Central High School and Cleveland State Community College. She attends Tennessee Technological University. She is a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of Wallace and Shirley Lovelace of Cleveland, Norma Blackmon of Knoxville and the late Charles Blackmon. He is the brother of Rusty Blackmon and Cody Blackmon, both of Moore, Okla.

Mr. Blackmon is a graduate of Bradley Central High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is a member of First Lutheran Church.

Tilson — West

Dr. Forrest and Sandra Tilson of Cleveland announce the engagement of their daughter Julie Elizabeth TIlson of Orlando, Fla., to Jack Faulkner West, also of Orlando.

The beachside wedding ceremony will be held in Hobe Sound, Fla., on July 24 at 10:30 a.m.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Ralph and Maxine Patterson, the late Forrest Tilson Sr., and Vivian Tilson of Lawton, Okla. She is the sister of Bryan Tilson of Portland, Ore.

The bridegroom is the grandson of Wendall and Marge Elliott of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Jane West of New Smyrna Beach and the late Alfred West. He is the brother of Andy West of London, England, Jason West of Dallas, Texas, Matt West, Andrew West and Andrea Zielinski, all of Orlando, Kelly West of Raleigh, N.C., and Viviane Sands of Wilmington, N.C.

Miss Tilson is a 2002 graduate of Cleveland High School and a 2006 graduate of Baylor University with a bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences. She is employed by Florida Hospital for Children in Orlando. She is a member of Summit Church in Orlando.

Mr. West is a graduate of Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando and Stetson University with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He attends Asbury Theological Seminary in Orlando and is employed by Summit Church where he is also a member.

Crutcher — Roddy

The engagement of Valory Adrienne Crutcher and Fred Ezekiel Roddy Jr., both of Chattanooga, is announced today. The future bride is the daughter of John Edgar Gibson Sr. of Nashville and the late Peggy Sue Cody Gibson. The future bridegroom is the son of Earlene Weaver of San Diego, Calif., and the late Fred Roddy Sr.

The wedding is planned for June 19 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Cleveland with the Rev. Edward Robinson officiating the ceremony.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Milton Shepherd, the late Margaret Bone, the late Gladys Shepherd and Ervin Gibson of Chattanooga. She is the sister of Ricky Terry and Harold Smith, both of Chattanooga, Sonya Walker, Tonya Jackson, Charlsey Gibson and John GIbson Jr., all of Nashville, Mark Gibson of Cleveland and Eric Gibson of Alexandria Va.

Miss Crutcher is a graduate of Cleveland High School. She is a student at Colorado Technical University. She is employed by Assets Management Outsourcing as a customer service representative.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late James and Virginia Roddy. He is the brother of Blondell Roddy, Alice Roddy, Dorian Raymond and Duane Raymond, all of San Diego.

Mr. Roddy is a graduate of Brainerd High School and a graduate of Chattanooga State Technical Community College with a degree in information systems technology. He is employed at Mars Snackfood.

They both are of the Baptist faith.

Breedlove — Green

Stephanie Michell Breedlove and David Wayne Green Jr. announce they will wed in a 3 p.m. ceremony on June 26 at Fellowship Baptist Church. The bride-elect is the daughter of Steven Lee Breedlove of Charleston and Crystal and Jack Herron of Cleveland. She is the granddaughter of the late Ronald E. Furr, Patricia B. Breeden of Cleveland and Donald A. Sr. and Mearl Breedlove of Old Fort. The future bridegroom is the son of Candy and Alex Satterfield of Benton and David Wayne Sr. and Connie Green of Ringgold, Ga. He is the grandson of Eula Mae Green of Old Fort, Lecia Colley of Reliance, the late Bill “Herbie” Colley and the late Clarence “Dave” Green.
