Michele Shelley of Knoxville and Van Garren of Benton will exchange wedding vows in a 4 p.m. ceremony today, June 20.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Carolyn Bolling of Knoxville and Michael Poundstone of Abilene, Texas. She is the granddaughter of James and Lucille Purser of Killeen, Texas, the late Dorothy Masters and the late VIrgil Poundstone. She is the sister of Rebecca Armes of Brownsville, Victor Reyes of Killeen, Michael D. Poundstone of Altus, Okla., and Phillip Poundstone of Abilene.

Ms. Shelley is a 1994 graduate of Wartburg Central High School. She is an affiliate broker and is employed as property manager with University Real Estate and Property Management LLC.

The future bridegroom is the son of Bill Garren of Benton and the late Barbara Garren. He is the grandson of the late Homer Garren, Wilma Garren of Benton and the late J.D. and Nettle Rogers.

Mr. Garren is a 1990 graduate of Polk County High School and is employed by Cleveland Utilities.
