The couple will exchange wedding vows in a 3 p.m. ceremony on July 10 at Candies Creek Baptist Church, where they are both members.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the Rev. E. Davis and Phyllis H. Lacey of Ellijay, Ga., and the late Harold G. and Immogene H. Thomas. She is the sister of Anna Tomas of Cleveland.
Miss Thomas is a 2005 graduate of Walker Valley High School. She is a graduate of Lee Universtiy and is employed by Cleveland City Schools.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of Delma Jones of Elberton, Ga., the late Rev. Rufus Pearson, Thelma Pearson of Calhoun Falls, S.C., and Jimmy and Lynn Jones of Elberton, Ga.
Mr. Jones is a 2006 graduate of Elberton Comprehensive High School. He graduated from Dalton State College and is employed by Walmart.
