He was the son of the late Howard Henderson and the late Lorey Jane Lee Henderson. He was preceded in death by two sons: Doug and Carlos Henderson; and two brothers: Burl and Robert Henderson
Survivors include two sons: Sammy Henderson of Young Harris and Darrel Henderson of Brasstown, N.C.; three brothers: Bass Henderson, George Henderson and Loyd Henderson, all of Young Harris; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held Friday, June 18, 2010, at the Mountain View Chapel in Blairsville, Ga., with the Rev. R.L. Martin, the Rev. Harley Hunter and the Rev. Farrell Presley officiating.
Interment followed in the Many Forks Baptist Church Cemetery.
