The Wetheys stepped away from successful classical music careers six years ago, relocated to Nashville from Miami and are now dedicating their musical talents to the glory of the Lord, a church spokesman said.
He has performed as a violinist in the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra and the Florida Philharmonic and has worked with such notable artists as Natalie Cole, Ray Charles, Doc Severinsen, Ricky Martin, Alan Jackson and Josh Groban.
She has performed as a concert flutist in concert halls around the world from Carnegie Hall to the Kennedy Center to La Scala Opera House.
“Her amazing experience as the survivor of multiple brain surgeries over the past 10 years has given birth to a strong, new side to their ministry,” the spokesman said.
Bruce and Lisa Wetheys will provide music in the morning services and then give a full concert Sunday evening at 6. While the concert is free, a love offering will be received.
They will also be on hand to minister to the children Monday morning at the beginning of Tune it Up, a summer music camp for children.
Registration forms for music camp can be downloaded at candiescreek.org.
