He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He retired from the maintenance department at Duracell.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Eugene Ross.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby of Cleveland; mother and stepfather, Rosezine and Howard Goins of Old Fort; children: Steve and Connie Ross of Ocoee; Teresa and Calvin Hammons of Old Fort; grandchildren: Jonathan Hammons of Old Fort and Cru Ross of Ocoee; brother, Rick Ross; sisters: Brenda Creasey, Sheila Cameron and Sharon Cavett; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. today, July 7, 2010, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating.
Interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Boanerges Cemetery with Jonathan Hammons, Cru Ross, Brian Lawson, Eric Lawson, Talian Ross and Frankie Qualls serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home prior to the service.
