A suspect in a January assault of a Cleveland woman at the Lay Street apartments was arrested Tuesday by the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.

Brian Keith Jacoway, 35, was taken into custody at a home on northeast Second Street.

Jacoway was wanted on charges of nonsupport and an aggravated assault involving a female acquaintance.

On January 15 the woman filed a report with the BCSO Criminal Investigations Division indicating Jacoway struck her twice in the face with brass knuckles after coming into the apartment.

Jacoway has been on the BCSO “Most Wanted” list since March.

He is being held at the Bradley County jail and is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court July 22 for further proceedings on the aggravated assault charge.
