Jack LaBraun Howard, 78, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010, in a local hospital.

He served his country honorably in the U S. Navy during the Korean War. He was member of First Lutheran Church.

He retired from Bowater in 1994 as the supervisor of the Finishing & Shipping Dept.

He was preceded in his death by his parents John and Farrell Howard; son, Brian Howard; his infant brother, JD; and infant sister, Jennie Lou Howard.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Juanita Howard; and their children: Rhonda Webb and her husband, Chris, of Cleveland, Brent Howard and his wife, Kathleen, of Fairfax Station, Va. and Keith Howard and his wife, Melissa, of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters: Oneida and Joyce Mary Howard, both of Cleveland and Jean Beddingfield and her husband, Lindsey, of Lake City, Fla.; eight grandchildren: Jill, Amanda, Brandon, Maranda, Justin, Tyler, Hunter and Paige; and seven great-grandchildren: Chasity, Christine, Austin, Kevin, Micah, Brooke, Braden.

The funeral will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2010, at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Harry Smith officiating.

Interment will be held privately.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at First Lutheran Church.
