All participants who signed up and completed reading the minimum number of books for their age group are invited to attend. Bring in your completed reading logs to the library this week or at the finale to receive your certificate and compete for summer reading prizes.
Everyone who turns in their reading logs will receive a certificate and a goody bag. The Finale Party is sure to be a hit this year with treats, crafts, games, face painting and other splash activities.
The Teens End-of-Summer Party, “Are you ready for the final wave?,” will be held July 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Young Adult Café on the second floor of the library. Come celebrate the summer with games, food and prizes. Don’t forget that if you have read at least 1,500 pages this summer and turn in your Reading Log by July 29 to reserve your goody bag.
Friends of the Library Association will host a One Book One Community Wing Ding on Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. until noon in the Cleveland Bradley County Community Room. “Autumn Winifred Oliver Does Things Different” by Kristin O’Donnell Tubb is the One Book One Community selection this year.
This event will include a video of the Cade’s Cove National Park, along with mountain crafts, music, storytelling and a Skype question session with author Tubb.
This event is geared toward the younger readers of the community, however all ages are welcomed to attend and participate.
