Alyson Laura Butler, a 2006 graduate of Walker Valley High School, recently graduated from the University of Alabama.
Alyson has a brother, Clay, and her parents are Al and Judy Butler. Her grandparents are Ronald and Bobbie Morrison and Robert and Martha Butler.
Alyson graduated with a bachelor of science in education pre-professional.
She graduated summa cum laude and is a recipient of the 2010 SEC Postgraduate scholarship award. She received the Bear Bryant student athlete finalist award, 2009; UA President’s list, 2006 - 2010; Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, SEC Academic Honor Roll, 2006 - 2010; and, UA women’s basketball, 2006 - 2010.
Alyson plans to finish graduate school at the university and enroll in the physician assistant programs in the fall.
Spires makes dean’s list, graduates from C-N
Lindsay Spires recently graduated from Carson-Newman College with a bachelor of science in nursing. Spires made the Dean’s List during the 2009 - 2010 school year.
Spires graduated from Cleveland High School in 2005.
Lindsay is the daughter of Tim and Cindy Spires.
Chloe Rebecca Hanson graduates from Mercer
ATLANTA, Ga. — Chloe Rebecca Hanson of Calhoun earned a doctor of pharmacy from Mercer University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences on May 8 during the College’s commencement ceremony on the University’s Atlanta campus. Mercer President William D. Underwood conferred the degree at the ceremony.
