With the support of Bowater Employees Credit Union, a local young scholar was honored for her achievements in the Education Exchange 2010 College Grant Program.
The Education Exchange is sponsored annually by the ACCEL/Exchange Network, an electronic funds transfer network owned and operated by Fiserv, Inc.
Through the program, 34 high school seniors from across the country are selected to share a total of $50,000 in college grants. From an initial pool of thousands of applicants, grants of $1,000 and $5,000 are offered to students based upon scholastic achievement, community involvement, qualities of character and leadership, and financial need.
Sponsored by Bowater Employees Credit Union, Ashley Feezell of Cleveland is the recipient of a $1,000 grant.
Ashley is a graduate of Bradley Central High School where she was a Tennessee Scholar and member of the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program, Student Council and Earth Club.
