Dakota Farris charged in aggravated burglary case
Video game consoles and a number of games were reported stolen from the home on Nov. 3, 2009, according to Bob Gault, media relations coordinator for the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.
Farris was arrested Tuesday in connection with the alleged burglary.
n An Ooltewah man was arrested and charged with narcotics and solicitation violations after a traffic stop on Interstate 75 late Tuesday.
Drug Task Force agents along with Bradley County deputy Dustin Patrick began an investigation after they had received reports of a nude male in a red SUV.
According to a report filed by Patrick, the vehicle was stopped near the 20-mile marker. Officials found Kerry Kent Johnson, 40, was the driver.
The report noted Johnson was wearing “only a pair of jogging pants” and “had signs laying in plain view” regarding solicitation for sex.
Johnson had allegedly been showing signs to passing motorists and performing lewd acts, “because he was looking for someone to have sexual intercourse with,” according to the report.
After the traffic stop, a consent to search was given and DTF agents found 1.4 grams of suspected methamphetamine and several items of alleged drug paraphernalia.
Johnson was charged with Schedule II drug violations for resale, felony possession of drug paraphernalia and solicitation of prostitution.
n A prowler call resulted in the arrest of a 6th Street resident who was eventually charged with drug and other violations.
Deputy Tim Robinson answered a call to the area and found Barry L. Casson, 33, who reportedly told the deputy he “was just looking for his cell phone.”
Robinson told Casson he was on private property which was posted.
According to the report, for officer safety, Casson was patted down and Robinson found a hypodermic syringe , a small bag of suspected marijuana and other paraphernalia.
Robinson also found a ski mask and flashlight on Casson’s person, according to the report.
Further investigation revealed Casson had outstanding warrants in Bradley County for theft and forgery.
He was placed into custody and taken to the Bradley County Jail, where he was charged with simple possession/casual exchange, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of burglary tools, criminal trespass, and served with the warrants for two counts of forgery and theft under $500.
Bond was set at $6,500.
