He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Frances McGuire.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Eugenia McGuire of Cleveland; father, Paul J. McGuire of Cleveland; and brother, Clyde McGuire of Theodore, Ala.
The funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Rev. Perry Stone officiating.
Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
