Two separate alleged home invasions occurred during the weekend and authorities have arrested two suspects they believe were involved in one reported Saturday evening.
Stephen Jacob Reed, who is also know as Jacob Gaddis, 18, and Jacob Dakota Campbell, 18, have been arrested and charged with aggravated burglary and assault, according to reports from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.
“On Saturday, deputies responded to a home on 4th Street N.E. where two men forced entry through a locked rear door and confronted the resident outside his bedroom. During conversation, one of the intruders threatened the resident with injury if he made any effort to contact law enforcement about a laptop computer that was stolen recently,” according to Bob Gault, media relations coordinator at BCSO.
Nothing was taken during the 4th St. incident but BCSO investigator Rob Wilson was able to learn the alleged suspects’ names and made arrests.
According to reports, the second alleged home invasion style robbery occurred about 9 p.m. Sunday at a Burke Road residence.
Wilson said today the case is still under investigation and two people inside the residence were treated for injuries after being assaulted during the incident.
“Two men at the residence reported they answered a knock at the door and were attacked by two men who were armed with sticks and knives,” said Gault, according to reports filed by deputies.
Cash and prescription medications were taken during the alleged robbery, according to reports.
