She was born in Ducktown, Tenn., to the late Marcus and Dragie Kilpatrick. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffery C. Coffey; brother, Charles Kilpatrick; and sister, Bonnie Raper.
She had a passion for cooking and a love for others that reflected in the care that she provided for the elderly.
Survivors include husband of 42 years, Ross M. Capps; sons: James Coffey (Shelia) of Chattanooga, Steven Coffey (Charlsie) of Cleveland, and Chandler Capps of Marion; daughters: Toni Aultman (Larry) of Adamsville, Ala. and Felecia McClure (Benji) of Marion; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Ducktown with the Rev. Terry Gladson officiating.
Interment will take place directly afterwards at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
