He was born on Feb. 24, 1928, in Vilonia, Ark., into the large family of Jess F. and Mary Pruitt.
After graduating from college, he spent many years in business before retiring to a log cabin on his daughter’s farm.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 63 years, Dorothy Eloise Kinser Pruitt;and their children: Dykes Lynn Pruitt, Lynda Kinser Borden, Karen Patrice Callaway, Kevin Michael Pruitt and Connie Suzanne Mundinger; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.
No funeral was held, but a celebration and remembrance of his life will take place in the autumn on the farm where he spent his last years with his wife, working in the garden and watching the deer and turkeys from his front porch.
