Rosetta Parker Finnell, 79, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, in a local health care facility.

She was a member of Thompson Springs Baptist Church for 45 years, and she was also the treasurer there for 40 years.

She was retired from BellSouth and was a volunteer for Hospice of Bradley Memorial Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Will Parker and Maggie Parker Williams. She was preceded in death by her sister, Edna Logan; and brothers: Ezell Parker, H. Parker, Wesley Parker and D.C. Parker.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Robert “Bob” Finnell; son, Mike (Bonnie) Finnell; sisters: Vina (Bill) Herron, Ann Parker Holder and Shirley (Jack) Hollifield; brothers: Ed Parker and Jim (Diane) Williams; grandchildren: Michael (Jenni) Finnell, Aaron (Vicki) Finnell and Brittany (Tyrone) Tilley, all of Cleveland, Allen (Michelle) Stephens of Lewisville, Texas; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Joe White officiating.

Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release concluding the service.

Michael Finnell, Aaron Finnell, Tyrone Tilley, Allen Stephens, Eddie Parker and Chris Herron will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
