Coach Andy Byrd and his Cleveland Lady Raiders will be host to the second annual Cleveland Classic soccer tournament this weekend.
The Lady Raiders are hoping to improve on their 2-3-1 record in this week’s competition. Cleveland dominated Ooltewah (another Classic participant) in a district match last week, but dropped three matches to start the 2010 season.
Classic games are scheduled Thursday, Friday and Saturday. All matches will be played at The Greater Cleveland Soccer Complex on Mouse Creek Road.
The Lady Raiders will see action early, playing East Ridge in the Classic opener at 6 p.m. Thursday. The evening’s other game will have Silverdale against Farragut at 7:30 p.m.
