She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Painter; parents, C.G. Ellis and Ocie Turner Ellis; brother, the Rev. Cordell Ellis; and her sister, Avis Ellis.
She had spent most of her life in Bradley County.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue K. Liner and her husband, Max, of Cleveland; grandson, Craig Liner and his wife, Karen, of Cleveland; great-grandchildren: Asher Liner and Ariana Liner.
A Remembrance of Life graveside service and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at Fort Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Jeannie Cissom officiating.
The North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
