Cleveland First Church of the Nazarene will celebrate its 58th homecoming Sunday. The special speaker will be the former pastor, the Rev. Brian Nave. Special music will be by Committed Quarter from Sparta.

Emmas Road from Dalton, Ga., will sing at Charity Baptist Church, Saturday at 7 p.m.

South View Baptist Church, 13th Street and Aurora Avenue, will have pastor appreciation day for Pastor Rob Works, Sunday. Dinner will follow the morning worship.

Philadelphia Baptist Church, 910 30th St. S.E., will have a singing Sunday at 6 p.m. Featured singers will be Mercy’s Call.

Cedar Springs Baptist Church will have a special singing Saturday at 7 p.m. The featured singers will be The Southern Tradition Gospel Group and The Roaring ’50s group.

Brother Gene Wiseman will be the guest speaker at United Christian Church, 2200 Peerless Road, Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Big Spring United Methodist Church will honor the church school teachers in the 11 a.m. service. They will be recognizing the outstanding teacher of the year. Dr. Rick Denning will be the guest speaker for the morning service. After the service the teachers and guests will be honored with a lunch in the fellowship hall.

Chestuee United Methodist Church, 889 Chestuee Road N.E., will have a community fun day, Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the church.

Bethel Baptist Tabernacle will have homecoming service beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday. There will be no Sunday school and no evening service. Emmaeus Road will be the guest singers. There will be lunch at noon.

The Trinity United Methodist Church will be observing their men and women’s day, Sunday. The women’s program will be at 11 a.m. with Sister Debra Smith as the guest speaker. The Rev. Harry Johnson and the Men of Praise from Green’s Chapel Presbyterian Church in Charleston will be worshipping with us at 3 p.m.

Trinity Trio will be ministering in music at Clingan Ridge Baptist Church, Sunday at 6 p.m.

Stronger For It will sing at South Cleveland Church of God for the Prime Timers group, today at 7 p.m. Everyone should enter at the back door by the chain-link fence.

Washington Avenue Baptist Church, 1720 Perry St., will host a community revival with New Liberty Baptist, Echoes of Mercy Baptist, Beacon Baptist and Bethel Baptist Oct. 4 through Oct. 8 at 7 nightly. There will be different speakers each night.

Jay Falls will speak at 10:30 a.m. Sunday and Chris Elrod will speak at 6 p.m. at Lighthouse Ministries, 281 Ocoee St.

The Family Worship Center, 4271 Dalton Pike, will begin the Feast of Tabernacles, Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and weekdays at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Special guests include Bobbie Jo Hamilton, Eddie Holden, Dan Burritt, James Kent and Kenny Dunn.

The Church of God of the Union Assembly, 3300 Dalton Pike, will be in revival Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. The speaker will be Blake Brafford and Colrandon Carson.

The Rev. James Vaughn will be the guest speaker at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 910 30th St. S.E., Sunday at 11 a.m.

Kim Taylor will speak at the Tabernacle of The Living Word on Blue Springs Road, Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
