Ruby Jane Deal, 80, of Cleveland, passed away Friday morning, Sept. 24, 2010, at the family residence.

She was the daughter of the late Martha Dunn Fowler and Noah Fowler.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jasper “Buck” Deal; daughter, Ruby Joan Deal; sisters: Bertie Fowler, Mary “Maggie” Tusek, Pauline Earnest, Lena Ross and Mable Moreland; and brothers: Raymond, Edgar, Ira, Jasper and Claude Fowler.

She was retired from Bishop Bakery with many years of service. She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church, but was attending Washington Baptist Church.

She loved her family very much and will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include daughter, Glenda Barnes and her husband, Bruce; son, Charles “C.W.” Deal and his wife, Beverly, all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Danny Deal and his wife, Paula, Teresa Trentham, Jason Barnes and his wife, Kisha, Melissa Blach and her husband, Eric, and Jonathan Deal; great-grandchildren: Heather Trentham and Cody Trentham, Haley and Hannah Deal, Matthew and Jay Blach and Makayla Barnes, and Blake Deal; great-great-grandson, Noah Deal, sister, Mildred Madison and her husband, Jim; brother, Wentfred Fowler and his wife, Amy, all of Cleveland.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service was held Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at 3 p.m. from the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Revs. Beecher White and Jim Parm officiating.

Interment was in the Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Danny Deal, Jason Barnes, Cody Trentham, Matthew Blach, Ralph Blair Jr. and Chris Varnell serving as pallbearers.
