She was born in Tampa, Fla., on Dec. 27, 1929, to the late Elmer Green and the late Lela Butler Green. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Lincoln G. Weech.
She and her husband ministered for more than 50 years. They established and pastored churches in the Bahamas, Florida and Georgia, and also ministered in Texas, Alabama and Indiana.
She was an accomplished musician, dedicated pastor’s wife, mother and grandmother, having worked for prestigious law firms in Savannah, Ga., Nassau, Bahamas, and West Palm Beach, Fla.
Survivors include one son, Stephen G. Weech; daughters and sons-in-law: Chery M. and Dr. Ron Brendel and Melanie Y. and David J. Lapinsky; grandchildren: Jonathan Lapinsky, Bethany Lapinsky, Anna Marie Brendel, Maxey Weech and Riley Weech; brother, Elmer Green Jr.; and sister, Patricia Dyson;
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Griffin First Assembly Of God in Griffin, Ga.
Friends may visit the family from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening at the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, 1891 West McIntosh Road, Griffin, Ga.
Interment will be at 4 p.m. in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah.
