The Cleveland Daily Banner will host a new business directory, CDBbusinesslink.com, on its website, effective Friday.

The new directory will have a direct link from the newspaper’s website at www.clevelandbanner.com.

The directory will connect area shoppers and businesses in Bradley, Polk and McMinn counties.

Currently, more than 14,000 business listings appear in the directory. Users may browse the online directory at no charge. It will include enhanced listings with additional information on sales, coupons, special promotions and new merchandise for some businesses.

“An advantage to consumers for having access to this type of business directory is that now you won’t have the need to hunt down every business and their websites in order to stay updated on the latest sales,” said Stephen Crass, Banner publisher. “Viewers will only need to log on to our website’s new CDBbusinesslink.com link and you’re ready to go. Everything is right there at your fingertips.”

He added, “The sites are easy to access and to navigate. And, you will have the option of leaving reviews in the comment section.”

Opportunities are available as “featured listings” for businesses wishing to expand their presence on the directory. The Banner’s website is viewed monthly in all 50 states and in more than 100 countries around the world.

“As the Cleveland and Bradley County area has continued to grow, a dramatic increase has occurred in the number of online readers, especially in major cities like New York and Atlanta,” Crass said. “Not surprisingly, one of the countries with a large online viewership of the Banner website is Germany.”

The new directory will allow area businesses to reach potential customers with Internet access anywhere in the world.

For area businesses without a website, but who are seeking a presence on the World Wide Web, the Banner also can now help provide websites. Portals for e-Commerce are available as well, along with online merchandise assistance.

CDBbusinesslink.com can also provide assistance in search engine optimization for those seeking to increase their visibility in online searches.
