Lee University will soon begin fall Convocation, a concentration of six chapel services in four days for a time of spiritual reflection and renewal.

Convocation will begin on Sunday.

Dr. Mark Walker, lead pastor of Mount Paran North Church of God, will speak on Monday evening. Walker holds a doctoral degree from Regent University and has served at Mount Paran since 1992. He also serves as a member of the Lee University board of directors.

Tuesday evening will feature Chris Goins, lead pastor of “a2 church” in Birmingham, Ala. A favorite at Lee, Goins has been invited to speak in chapel frequently during the past several years.

Tom Madden will wrap up the services, bringing the message on Wednesday night. He is the international director for Youth and Christian Education for the Church of God. Madden is an alumnus of Lee. He is a veteran youth minister and was one of the founders of the popular “Winterfest” annual youth festival.

The week’s all-music morning chapels will be led by campus ensembles. Lee Singers will lead worship on Tuesday morning, with Evangelistic Singers on Thursday.

The convocation will be directed by campus pastor Jimmy Harper and its vice president, Walt Mauldin. It will begin with a Sunday service at 7:30 p.m. with Lee’s president, Dr. Paul Conn, as the speaker.

Weeknight services begin at 7 and morning services at 10:40 in the Conn Center.

Lee encourages all students and guests to come out and participate in this semester’s Convocation.
