Cleveland golfer Dan Moore realized that elusive dream Sunday when he scored his first-ever hole-in-one at Cleveland Country Club.
CCC Professional Neil Scott said Moore was playing with Andrew Butler when his tee shot found the cup on the 178-yard par-3 ninth hole.
Many golfers have several holes-in-one during their lifetimes, while others never achieve this pinnacle of success.
The statistics on holes-in-one are daunting. One insurance company puts a PGA Tour pro’s chances at 1 in 3,756, and an amateur’s chances at 1 in 12,750.
