Bowling like it was the end of the season instead of the beginning, Bradley Central opened the new TSSAA season with a decisive victory Monday at the Bowling Factory.

“We rolled a 3,556. That’s the kind of numbers we usually put up toward the end of the season so to start off like that is big for us,” commented coach “Red” Williams after his Bears pounded Chattanooga Central 24-3.

“We got better as we went along. We shot an 1,105 the first game, 1,199 the second and a 1,252 the third,” Williams added.

Posting a team average of 197.5 per game in the 18 heads-up matches, Bradley had little trouble defeating the Purple Pounders, who posted a total pin count of 2,623.

Hayden Bishop led the Bear attack with a 657 series, while Isaac Joy helped out with a 612 three-game total.

Alex Jones came on to roll the final two games, one of which was the high-game of the match with a 267.

Bradley will next take to the lanes on Oct. 26 when Chattanooga Notre Dame pays a visit to the Bowling Factory.
