The 2010 high school soccer season is winding down. All three Bradley County teams will play their final matches of the regular season at home Thursday evening, and each team plans to recognize its seniors.

The District 5-AAA playoffs begin Friday, with Walker Valley traveling to McMinn County for a 6 p.m. match and Bradley Central at Ooltewah for a 4:30 p.m. match.

Cleveland will play Rhea County at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Greater Cleveland Soccer Complex.

No. 1-seeded Soddy-Daisy has a bye in the opening round and will be at home in the semifinals against the Bradley Central-Ooltewah winner on Tuesday.

Following this weekend’s opening round, all matches will be at the home of the highest seed. Cleveland plays its home matches at the soccer complex on Mouse Creek Road.

Following Soddy-Daisy in the order of seeds are Cleveland, McMinn County, Ooltewah, Bradley Central, Walker Valley and Rhea County. S-D’s Lady Eagles have been among the state’s top-ranked teams all season and are undefeated in district play.

Thursday’s season-ending matches have Signal Mountain at Bradley Central, Chattanooga Central at Walker Valley and Grace Baptist Academy playing Cleveland at the soccer complex. Coch Chrissy McKinner said Bradley Central’s seniors will be recognized at halftime of Thursday’s match.
