She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and George W. Maxwell.
Survivors include her children: Vickey Martin, John H. Wiggins, Angie Bacon and Charles “Chuck” Messer; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Barbara Rice; and brother, Doug Maxwell.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today, Oct. 13, 2010, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Sherlin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 this evening prior to the service at the funeral home.
