She participated in “knit-ins” where she knitted blankets and hats for the needy in our community. She traveled with the Gadabouts and loved gardening.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Kelley-Pilgrim and her husband, Jim, of Cleveland; five grandchildren: Dan Kelley and wife, Beth, of Signal Mountain, Jennifer Hubbuch of Knoxville, Bay Kelley and wife, Andrea, of Bloomington, Ind., Jim Pilgrim of Soddy-Daisy, and Teresa Nichols and husband, Bill, of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for the family will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23. 2010, at the home of her daughter with Chaplain Art Jones officiating.
