Ann B. York, 85, of Cleveland, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, while surrounded by her loving family, following a long battle with dementia.
Ann was born in Bradley County, at home, on Sept. 25, 1937. She graduated from Charleston High School and started working soon after graduation. She retired from Hardwick Clothes and M&M Mars. After retiring, she continued to serve others while working at Eagle Home Care until she was 80 years old.
She is survived by two daughters and one son, Debbie York, Candi Wattson (Terry) and Gabriel Trippe “Little Son;” two sisters, Linda J. Lewis and Charlene Moore; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Taylor Talley (Hunter), Easton Talley, Jaxson Gentry, Jessie Trippe, Maya Trippe, Meryn Trippe, Chase Williams, Shayna Williams, Cole Williams (Shaleigh), Emerson “Emmy” Williams and Willow Williams; and special caregiver and granddaughter, Cryshelle Trippe; namesake and niece, Annette Bennett (Dwayne); and special great-niece, Averie Green. She has many nieces and nephews and other family and friends, all of who adore her with all their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Abe Guinn and Alma Phillips Guinn; her former husband, Sammy York; son, Kenny York; seven brothers, Fred Guinn, Adrian Guinn, Ronald Guinn, Archer Guinn, Carl Guinn, Randy Guinn and Raymond Guinn; and one sister, Mildred Moore Stevison.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023, at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home on Ocoee Street in Cleveland, with Mark Cameron officiating.
Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Graveside service and burial will follow the Celebration of Life at Chestuee Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Caleb Green, Cody Green, Jimmy “Bo” Guinn, Larry Suits, Hunter Talley, Terry Wattson, Chase Williams and Roger York, and honorary pallbearer, Ben “Bo” Lewis Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Caris Health Care. The family wishes to thank Samantha and Erika for all they have done.
