Betty Baumgardner, 89, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021.
She was a devout Baptist and lifelong member of North Cleveland Baptist Church.
Betty graduated with the class of 1949 from Bradley Central High School. She later became an avid quilter with Cherokee Blossom Quilt Guild. She loved her family, church and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rilla Priddy Caywood and Howard Caywood; her husband, Jim Baumgardner; and beloved son, Dan Harmon.
Betty is survived by her children: David “Donna” Harmon, and Susan Harmon Petty of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Katy (Kat) “Jason” Trotter of Etowah, Emily Petty Parker “Tadd,” and Olivia Petty of Signal Mountain; one great-grandchild, Colton Trotter; stepchildren: Jay “Julie” Baumgardner, and Bonnie “Bruce” Stoloff; and stepgrandchildren: Ashley “Keith” Bushy, James and Sarah Stoloff.
She loved, blessed and influenced all who knew and loved her, especially her family.
Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at North Cleveland Baptist Church, a funeral was held at 1 p.m. officiated by Dr. Jay McCluskey. The interment followed in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted at North Cleveland Baptist Church 2815 North Ocoee St., Cleveland, TN 37312.
