Betty Evelyn Ownby

Betty Evelyn Ownby, 91, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, Jan. 16, 2023.

She was born on July 20, 1931, to the late Earl and Hattie Disharoon. Betty loved gardening and always enjoyed having a big garden.

In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Ownby; and daughter, Edna Moore.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Mitchell Ownby, and his children, Matthew and Jonathan Ownby; sisters, Mary Smith, Debbie Callahan and Roberta Granville; brothers, Gene Disharoon and Jimmy Disharoon; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

Her family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at Companion Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
