Bobby Lee Woods Sr.

Bobby Lee Woods, Sr., 75, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.

Bobby was born on April 23, 1947, to the late Clarence and Anna Mae Woods of Cleveland.

Many Cleveland residents will remember Bobby as a familiar face at the local Cooke’s Food Store, where he served in various positions for 30 years along with Wal-Mart for an additional 15 years.

Anyone familiar with Bobby knew that he was passionate about fishing and the camping life.

When he was not home in Cleveland, Bobby enjoyed fishing from the docks in Cedar Key, Florida, and being the socialite in the golf cart at Sundown Resort in Townsend.

Bobby was seen by many as a loving husband, father and brother.

He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence Woods and Anna Mae (Cross) Woods; his brother, Eugene “Gene” Woods; sisters, Evelyn Geren, Imogene Morgan and Linda Carson; and wife, Connie (Johnston) Woods.

Bobby is survived by his sisters, Christine (Woods) Howard and Glenda (Woods) Crowson; his four children, daughters, Teresa Ward (Randy Ward), Tina Moses (Mitch Moses) and Misty Carey (Troy Carey), and son Bobby Lee Woods Jr.; his pride and joy, which consists of his eight grandchildren, Chynna Ward, Alyssa Ward, Kacie Allen (Michael), Logan Pendergrass, Tiffani Moses, Henry Moses, Macy Carey and Max Carey; one great-granddaughter, Parker Leigh Allen; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life with acquaintances, friends and family from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home, 2415 N. Ocoee St., in Cleveland, immediately followed by a funeral service at Fort Hill Cemetery South, 12th Street SW, in Cleveland.
