Byron Anthony Johnson, 62, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, Aug. 8, 2022.
He was born on May 27, 1960, to the late James and Carrie Belle Johnson. Byron had a great sense of humor and enjoyed talking and cutting up with others. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and fan of all sports. He also enjoyed music and singing. Byron was dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rayce Johnson; and niece, Victoria Westfield.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Terri Johnson with whom he was reunited after 27 years; stepdaughters, Taylor Moore and Tia Moore; siblings, Carol Westfield (Vicky), Terrail Johnson (Lavinia), Becky Hickey, Randy Johnson and Dacyal Johnson (Vance); sister-in-law, Sandra “Faye” Farris; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Byron’s family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, at Greens Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Charleston, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. The Rev. Harry Johnson will be officiating.
Byron will be laid to rest following the service at Fort Hill Cemetery.
