Charles Edward Burnette, 80, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021.
He was the son to the late Robert and Susie Burnette. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Ota Sue Cooper; and brothers: Junior Burnette and Ralph Burnette.
Charles was owner/operator of Burnette’s Bulldozer and Backhoe. He was a ham radio operator for more than 50 years and was a member of Wesleyann Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Sue Burnette; daughter, Cathy Burnette; son, Chuck (Selena) Burnette; grandchildren: Jacob, Megan, Elijah and Noah Chandler, Candis (Jay) Noland, Chad Burnette, Casey Burnette; and great-grandchildren: Haley Burnette, Avery, Abram and Azton Noland.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held graveside today, June 18, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Johnny Ware officiating.
Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
