Dennis Morrow

Dennis Morrow, 70, of Birchwood, passed away on Monday, Jan. 30, 2023.

He was born on Feb. 17, 1952, to the late Grady and Dorothy Morrow.

Dennis was a very hardworking man, who was dedicated to his work. He worked many different jobs and different places throughout the years, including as a chicken farmer with his father, Grady. He also enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and was an animal lover.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Thorn Morrow.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, two sisters, Veda Waddell (Jesse) of Birchwood and Reba Smith (Billy) of Birchwood; niece and nephew, Becky Waddell and Jeremy Waddell (Erin); and great-nieces and nephew, Cora Waddell, Micah Waddell and Adia Waddell.

Dennis’ family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, at Companion Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Purdie officiating.

He will be laid to rest at Holder Memorial Cemetery with Jeremy Waddell, Jesse Waddell, Kendall Herron, Daniel Smith, Barry Gibson and Michael Smith serving as pallbearers.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the caregivers at Martin Boyd Christian Home and Hospice of Chattanooga.

In lieu of flowers, Dennis’ family requests that donations be made to an animal shelter or rescue organization of your choice.
