Posted

Eadle “Darlene” Ruth, 71, of Cleveland, departed this life on Sunday, June 20, 2021, with her family at her side.

She was born in Cleveland, on July 7, 1949, to the late Raymond Jackson and Eulia Lawson Ruth.

Throughout life, Ms. Darlene loved to fellowship with her beloved family and friends. She had a great love for time spent in the beautiful mountains and enjoyed the thrill of the many trips to the casino. A great card player but even better biscuit maker, her family was very blessed to have such a good cook and always enjoyed eating her biscuits.

She was of the Church of God faith. Darlene also enjoyed traveling and anything associated with Mickey Mouse. She was the rock of the family and will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, friends and her beloved fur baby, Tinkerbell.

In addition to her parents, Raymond and Eulia Ruth, she was also preceded in death by her siblings: Wanda Cronan, Judy Allen, James Ruth, Marion Ruth and Jackie Ray Ruth; granddaughter, Julie Elliott and one niece, Patricia Ruth.

Left to honor her legacy include her beloved children: Jackie (Jackie) Elliott, James Plumley and Zack Plumley (Tiffany Pickle); loving grandchildren:, Jessica (Miguel) Gonzalez, Jaclyn (Michael) Stewart, Raymond “Bubba” Plumley, Brooklyn Grayson and Ronald Chubbs; nine great-grandchildren; siblings: Bobby (JoAnn) Ruth and Carl (Cyndi) Ruth; sister-in-law, Susan Ruth; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Pastor Zack Miller and David Thomas officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, prior to the service.
