Erskine Lee Evans Jr.

Erskine Lee Evans Jr., 78, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022.

Lee was born in Chattanooga on April 26, 1944, the son of the late Erskine Lee Evans Sr. and Martha Helen Sylar Evans. He proudly served in the United States Army. Lee retired from BellSouth as a facility technician after 30 years of service. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Cleveland.

Survivors include his wife, Gayle Grissom Evans; son, Phillip Evans (Pamela); and a daughter, Tina Evans.

Graveside and interment services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home
