Freida Stevison

Freida Stevison, 68, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022.

She was born on April 6, 1954, to the late Clarence and Sarah Marshall.

Freida’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life. She loved them dearly and would do anything for them. She was a devoted woman of God, who loved attending church and worshipping the Lord. She always put others first.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Eugene Stevison Sr.; and siblings, Virginia Shook, Evelyn Allison, Norville Buchanan, James Sutton and Billy Sutton.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Ronald Stevison Jr. (Micha), Chandra Ray (Jonathan); daughter-in-law, Charee Stevison; son-in-law, James Wells; sister, Linda Beavers; grandchildren, Marissia Brown (Nykia Redd Leighton), Samantha Melendez (Brian), Shayanne Stevison (Rosember Garcia), Orian Stevison (Dory Wilker), Hunter Brown (Brianna), Seth Stinnett (Jenna Barrett) and Alice Podoll; and great-grandchildren, Shakira Stevison, Layla Wilker, Gabriel Brown, Saphira Melendez, Savannah Dalziel, Inari Melendez, Benjamin Garcia and Astrid Stinnett.

Freida’s family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, at Companion Funeral Home. Her family will also receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday at Abundant Life Holiness Church, with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 3 p.m.

She will be laid to rest following the service at New McDonald Cemetery. Hunter Brown, Orian Stevison, Rosember Garcia, Hunter Elliott and Brian Melendez will serve as pallbearers.
