Harrison M. Hyde

Harrison M. Hyde, 102, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at his residence.

He was the son of the late Jules and Mary Hyde, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Mae Hembree Hyde; son, Larry Hyde; and 13 siblings.

He was a longtime minister in the Baptist faith, pastoring Grassy Creek Baptist Church in Copperhill and Lamb of God, a non-denominational church.

He is survived by his daughters, Rosemary Hyde and Nellie Finley; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, Wildwood Avenue Chapel, with the Rev. John Smith officiating.

The interment will follow at Grassy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Copperhill, with Ron, Sonny, Rusty, Eric, Ty and Craig Hembree serving as casket bearers.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
