Jubreel A. Versa

Jubreel A. Versa, 48, of Nashville, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022.

He was born to Gloria Versa and the late Robert Lawrence Versa Jr. of Cleveland.

Jubreel was a 1993 graduate of McMinn County High School and a graduate of Bethel University in McKenzie, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in organizational management. He was currently employed at Elevance Health in Nashville. Prior to that, he was an instructional assistant and middle school varsity basketball coach at Athens City Middle School. He was a member of Church Alive Ministries and was an avid sports enthusiast and lover of music. He enjoyed Saturday morning dates with his high school sweetheart, Pasha Porter Versa, and spending time with his sons.

Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Robert E. Long Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Versa Sr.; his father, Robert L. Versa Jr. of Cleveland; uncle and aunt, Michael A. and Darlene Versa, both of Athens; his beloved great-aunt, Lucille Love of Athens; and his uncles, Robert E. Bradley and David M. Long of Athens.

Leaving to cherish the memories, are his beloved spouse of 27 years, Pasha Porter Versa; sons, Quintin and Miles Versa, all of Nashville; mother, Gloria Versa; sisters, Natosha and Shuderra Versa, all of Cleveland; like a brother, Dushawn (Jennifer) Versa of Knoxville; grandmother, Minnie Long of Athens; uncles, Robert E. Long Jr. of Athens and Donnie (Kathy) Arnwine of Chattanooga; mother-in-law, NaQuita Porter Hitchcock of Riceville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Baichoo of Dorchester, Massachusetts; sisters-in-law, Zelda (Marquis) Dotson of Knoxville, Shelanda (Ray) Anglin of Canton, Massachusetts, and Chantel Baichoo of Bloomfield, Connecticut; brother-in-law, Dr. Shawn (Brenda) Baichoo of Richmond, Texas; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends that adored him immensely.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, at MD Dotson & Sons Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at First Baptist Cleveland, 1275 NE Stuart Road, Cleveland, with Pastor Frank Walker officiating.
