Katherine Trotter

Katherine Trotter, 95, of Chickamauga, Georgia, passed away on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022.

Katherine was born on April 2, 1927, in Utica, Mississippi, to the late William Bryan and Eliza Sanders Mobley. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area. Katherine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe R. Benson; second husband, Robert Lee Trotter Sr.; and daughters, Gloria Duke, Sharon DeSha and Kathy Lee Benson.

Survivors include her children, Michael Benson, Joe Benson, Monica Brown and Robert Lee Trotter Jr.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at Casandra Baptist Church, 1371 W. Cove Road, Chickamauga, Georgia, with Pastor Glenn Roberts officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the church before the memorial service.
