Larry Edward Parker, 75, lifelong resident of McDonald, was born August 5, 1945, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021, at home surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Pauline Parker.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years, Debbie Parker; three sons: Mike Parker (Sharon), Matthew Parker (Jamina) and Mark Parker (Amy); seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Shirley Ledford and Betty Ledford.
He loved his family and set a great example of a godly family man.
Larry worked for 29 years at Volunteer Electric, but his best-known job by all who knew him would be his avid trading. He ran antique auctions for close to 10 years, and he is also known for his trading in livestock and equipment.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Mount Olive Ministries.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021, 10 a.m., at the church with Pastor Gary Sears and Carl R. Hobbs, officiating.
The burial will be held at Mount Olive Cemetery with Heath Ledford, Shawn Crabtree, Chad Buckner, Clint Haslerig, Zac Cofer and Chris Wilson as pallbearers.
