Linda Lou Black

Linda Lou Black, 65, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at a local hospital.

She retired from Hardwick Clothes after 35 years and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Morgan and Ethel Hysinger and Marion and Victoric Fortner; son, David J. Palmer; sister, Teresa Logan; brother, Steve Ledford; and nephew, Jason Dale.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Black; parents, David and Mamie Sue Fortner; daughter-in-law, Angel Palmer; grandson, Jaxson Palmer; nephew, Kevin Dale Sr.; great-nephews, Kevin Dale Jr., Cody Dale and Jimmy Dale; great-nieces, Kailtin Dale, Amber Taylor and Mackenzie Dale; and a host of cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home with Pastor David Evans officiating.

Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cleveland.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
